Educated at the University of Tennessee and Memphis State University (B.B.A., 1973); Memphis State University (J.D., 1977).  Phi Alpha Delta.  Member, Memphis State Law Review, 1975-1977.  Author, “Dependents under the Tennessee Workmen’s Compensation Act,” 7 Memphis State University Law Review 66, 1977.  Member Memphis, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations; Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel; Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association (Vice-President, 1990-1996; Secretary/Treasurer, 1996-1997; President, 1998-1999); Defense Research Institute.

Mr. Tuttle’s practice includes products liability, insurance law, business litigation,  professional liability claims, and workers’ compensation.

In 2000, Mr. Tuttle was a faculty member at the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel Regional Nursing Home Project Seminars.

Mr. Tuttle has also been a presenter at the Tennessee Judicial Conference, Spring Meeting, 2001 and 2002.  This conference is attended by all judges of record in the State of Tennessee, as well as all Courts of Appeal Judges and Tennessee Supreme Court Justices.

In 2002, the Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives appointed Mr. Tuttle to the Tennessee Judicial Selection Commission, which is responsible for interviewing applicants and recommending nominees to the Governor for judicial openings for all courts of record, including, but not limited to, the Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court.  Mr. Tuttle is the 2006 Vice-Chairman of the Judicial Selection Commission.

In September, 2006, Mr. Tuttle was elected Chairman of the Tennessee Judicial Selection Commission and will serve as Chairman for the following year.

Married to Rebecca Pearson Tuttle, two children:  Rebecca Heddie and Melissa Pearson.
