Born on February 18, 1973 in Lafayette, Louisiana; admitted in 2002 to practice in Alabama state courts and in the United States District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama; admitted in December 2008 to practice in Tennessee state courts and in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in November 2008 and in the U.S. District Court Western District of Tennessee in November 2007.

Graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Business, magna cum laude, from Grambling State University. Received a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2001; Moot Court Board; Advocacy Concentration.
